Sean has many years of experience of assessing the specification, design, construction commissioning operation, maintenance and performance of process plants, especially those producing or using water and steam, generating or treating wastewater. This has been for a range of purposes, including process optimization, waste minimization, resource efficiency, informing CAPEX planning, and supporting legal action or insurance claims.

Sean carried out hundreds of one-day waste minimization/resource efficiency site visits on behalf of Envirowise, a UK government scheme to help small to medium sized businesses save money by reducing waste.

We can identify the bottlenecks in your plant where money will be best spent to improve performance and reliability, or save on OPEX. 

By putting together the information you already have on the inputs and outputs for your process with educated guesses on the missing figures, we can understand how material flows through your process, and how efficiently it is running

Water balance is a subset of mass balance, focusing exclusively on water. It can be very useful in identifying where water is being wasted, or higher than necessary grades of water are being used. It can also identify energy inefficiency.
